[MUST READ & SHARE] 2015: Without your PVC, you have disenfranchised yourself, says INEC via @iKanzee_RR

ABAKALIKI-THE Independent National
Electoral Commission, INEC, Wednesday
stressed that failure of anyone to get his
Permanent Voters Card, PVC, means that
person automatically disenfranchised himself
during the 2015 general election.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner,
REC, Mr. Sylvester Ezeani stated this in
Abakaliki while briefing newsmen on the
Commission’s preparedness for the
distribution of PVC across the State.
The REC who spoke through the Commission’s
Head voters Education and Publicity, Mr. Andy
Ezeani stated that the distribution of the PVC
will commence across the State on 15th to
17th August, 2014 and that Ebonyi State fell
under the second phase of the distribution
exercise in the country.
Ezeani called on political parties and the
media to mobilize citizens of the state
towards the distribution of the Permanent
Voters Cards, PVC, in the State adding that
immediately after the distribution of the PVC,
the Commission will begin continuous Voters
Registration exercise on 20th to 25th August,
2014.
“The PVC is important to the Commission
because it will lead to the success of the 2015
general election as it will eliminate some of
the past challenges faced by INEC during
elections. It is not the Commission that will
disenfranchise anybody. The card is a
veritable source of identification. It is
important people come out and collect their
cards on that day”.
